Love this book. It gets into food science and teaches how to properly cook countless food items. It will help in preparing foods in the way you usually prepare them, but also in trying new preparations. A must-have!
If you can only get one book right now, start HERE! This book teaches what foods pair with a food in question. For example, if I look up oats, it has a list of foods that pair well with oats. It is a fantastic resource in the kitchen. It is also really great for making new smoothie combinations.
I bought this book when I first started making smoothies. I started with some recipes from this book and took off from there. I like the beginning of the book where it provides information about several superfoods. The back also has helpful references like how to make almond milk.
